  • Furry bay bush!!

    I have some furry spots on the bottom half of my bay bush (images attached) and I am not sure if its bad and if so what I can do to remove it. Can anyone help please?

    Methinks you have a bit of mildew, spray with chesunt compound or 1 Tbs vinegar to a pint of water.
    Eat well, live well, drink moderately and be happy (hic!)

      I've got some too. Methinks there may be some scale insect lurking in there too. When (if) it stops raining I am going to have a closer look.

          That looks like patches of scale insect to me - use an old scrubbing brush and some washing up liquid on it, see if it comes off. I think it weakens the plant but unlikely to kill.
          Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

            Thanks Jeanied. The bush seems to be really healthy bar the bottom half of the trunk with the fuzz so I'll do a bit of scrubbing and then polish up with some vinegar mix as obeary suggests. Thanks for your additional suggestions
