  • what eats mint?

i have 3 mint plants. The chocolate is doing okay but has holey leaves. My mini mint isn't flourishing, but looks alive with holes and my spanish mint looks at death door and very eaten.

I can't see any signs of slugs but I did put down some coffee grounds. what else could it be?

I am thinking flea beetle. the little beggars have been having a go at my spicy salad mix, mizuna, pakchoy and other wierdy leaves, they just make holes so no real harm done and if I get complaints the answer will be " yes there are a few little holes, would you rather have perfect leaves that were dosed with poisons?"
Eat well, live well, drink moderately and be happy (hic!)

Could be snails, they're sneaky and hide up during the day

There is a mint beetle- bright green and shiny..tis a bit like the rosemary beetle.
        Quite large too.

Caterpillars always get mine. I don't even see them but if I pick some mint and have it on the window ledge I often find the droppings before I spot the caterpillars.
