I've re-potted and grown a Bay tree I had in a ready made hanging basket, years ago. It's been doing really well and has grown from about 10cm to about 40cms high now and filled out nicely.

However, I don't think it liked the cold weather we had early on in the year and one side looks almost burnt. The leaves are solid and firm still but have turned a pale brown sort of colour. During the cold snap all my pots were under the table, against the wall of the house.

Shall I trim them off, or will some sun and a nice spot on the decking help it back to life? What does it do throughout the year in terms of flowering etc and at what stage can I use the leaves in cooking?

In terms of flowering - I have never noticed much by the way of flowers on mine so they must be insignificant. Use the leaves fresh or dried in cooking.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
