  • Woody Herbs

Hey All, tis the season and the garden prep is in full swing!
One question, my herbs in a hanging basket were doing really well last year and now all of a sudden they just don't seem to be growing at all. I have trimmed back as I was reading about not.letting the get too "woody". Is it just too soon and they will bounce back in the summer or have they had it? Many Thanks

The sage and rosemary will regrow I think.

If they were mine I'd knock them out of the basket and stick them temporarily in a bucket of water. Then refill the basket with fresh compost and replant them. A bit of a trim back of any bits of stem with no leaves on wouldn't hurt as a tidy up.

Easy enough plants to start cuttings from, if you'd rather have some new ones.
