  • Oregano gone mad again this year!

Does anyone else grow oregano and find that it grows like a weed?

I hacked mine back last year (around this time) and yet again it has grown huge again this year. I have just been pulling it up - pulled a load on Sunday and the bits (around 40!) that had roots I have put in a vase and will pot on later this week. Anyone want an oregano plant!!

I planted some oregano seeds earlier this year and was worried about how well it was doing (or wasn't as the case may be), however over the last couple of weeks it's gawn mad! Repotted it at the weekend, looks like I'll be doing it again soon.

Is it ok to go in the ground?

I've put mine in a big pot, mainly because I am always rotating my garden plantwise.

Mine too! I don't know much about herbs - can I lift and divide it at this time of year? It is smothering a few other plants.

I think that oregano is my favourite herb but it is a generous grower, so that suits me.
