bay tree is it really so expenxive

They are slow growing

I think someone forgot to tell my Bay Tree that bit I planted it as a small shrub last year - about half my height - oooo 1 foot that is then (cost about �5 from the local garden centre, so not too expensive at all) and it needs a serious haircut as it's towering over me already

I bought mine for about two pounds, six years ago. It grows in about a foot of soil in our back yard in the northeast and is now about six feet tall.
