Puzzling. It definitely looks like a Chrysanth though. Have you had it long? You do see them sold in pots flowering outside their natural season sometimes, commercial growers can do clever things to bring them into bloom to order?Originally posted by Jonny.D View PostTaken a few weeks ago Martin (I've been meaning to post)

Ah ok that makes sense. It's a dwarf patio chrysanthemum, there are lots of different varieties and colours. It's quite hardy, I've got a few in my garden that started off as one plant and is now half a dozen clumps. It's natural flowering time is September, if you keep it alive it will revert to that growth pattern.Originally posted by Jonny.D View PostIt was bought as a mothers day present Martin
If you keep it in a pot, it's best left outdoors all year. You can bring it into the house to enjoy it when it's flowering but then take it out again once the flowers fade. A sheltered corner outside is best for the winter.
Watch for slugs and snails, they love these plants!
You can propogate it by pulling apart the clump in spring, or by taking cuttings.
