  • Three-cornered garlic (white bluebell)

Whilst away in Brittany last weekend I spotted thousands of pretty white flowers growing on the side of the road.
At first They looked like bluebells but white. On closer inspection, they looked like wild garlic but with long thin leaves, but had absolutely no garlic smell.
anyway...I've just id'd them initially from their unusual flower stems...

with their pretty white flowers with a delicate green line running through I thought I'd share my find with you.
    I've never seen them before!

Its Allium triquetrum - known here are three-cornered leek. Its very invasive - I know, my last garden was full of it. Lovely to look at, good to eat, but a pain to control.
