You can have some of mine, NG - the weedy bits
This thread is bringing back memories - of the people who gave me cuttings - mostly an aunt-in-law who enjoyed flower arranging. The ?eleagnus, and another variegated ?eleagnus, some weigelia and photinia Red Robin were also hers. She encouraged me to grow a eucalyptus for its young leaves, pittosporum, variegated ivy and I'm sure there were more. Maybe the yellow leaved fuchsia?
    Anyway, all foliage for vases!

See I never had anyone around me that done arrangements so all the shrubby things I have known have been neglected garden specimens or those you get in supermarket or industrial estate carparks and most of them are entirely different when bunged in a vase. I really enjoyed looking at catalogues of shrubs (I never thought I would say that ) last year and I actually found myself hunting for things like kerria, rose of Sharon and periwinkle I don't know whether I have just aged myself or what, but I can't recall seeing them in gardens for years. Anyway, now I have waffled, I think I will have to suffice for this year at this rate and put a list together.

Thank you all Although whilst gurgling I can not find any listings for bronze hosta or holly

I have loads of kerria (suckers everywhere), periwinkle running wild and a large yellow hypericum (Rose of Sharon) which the bees love.

And let me guess you also have the variegated periwinkle as well. Show off

You can get bronze herucheas (I think that's how you spell it). The grow well in the same place as my hosta (north facing clay) and seem to thrive on total neglect.

You can also get sunflowers and rudbeckia that are "bronze like".
                  Not sure on the variety...

Some berberis look a bit bronzy. I think there are bronze sedums.
