                I thought about saving seeds from sunflowers once - but not for long. Indeed, I had been investigating the best way to harvest them as a small crop.

                The flowers barely need to start dieing in our garden before they are devoured by blue and great tits - and the occasional mouse.

                  Our sunflowers are a right mixed output this year, some tall plants with huge heads and others not so much. We shall harvest them for bird seed as usual but this year I'm going to try roasting some having watched some yootoob preppers doing simple recipies.
