OK I have a wall and a spare grow bag. Plus a bit of plastic netting, the stiff stuff.
So will mount that and pop them in a grow bag and train them up that.
Waste of a grow bag to my mind, but will that keep all happy??

Pictures to follow once they start climbing.

        Rain stopped, sun came out.
Picture proof thry are planted and not compost or bin!
        Happy?

Ooooo you will have a wall of blue if summer ever comes and the slugs go on strike!

Should look very pretty. Is that a nice warm, sunny wall? I guess Preston is too far north, but my dad had a lovely passion flower plant growing in his greenhouse...

Well my hop plant liked the wall, but as I had to chop it back for these "flowers" it now has no option. Still it will grow on the other side OK.
As for pretty, well had it been Cobra beans I would agree.
So now I have blue bindweed look-a-likes.
              No beer.
              No beans.

Well I tried my best and planted them up in two brand new grow bags.
Also inserted plenty of canes for them to climb up.
And they did start to climb up.
Was looking forward to a nice display.
Unfortunately some thing is wrong, leaves seem yellowy and and the climbing tendrils seem to be shriveling !
                Any idea what's wrong ?
Do they need special compost, not standard grow bag stuff ?

Over or under watering? Could be either in grow bag (can you tell I'm not a fan of'em? ) haha

I use them quite a bit and never have any trouble normally.
However they are normally either in the greenhouse or under the eaves of the house.
The two in question are out in full rain. So perhaps over watering.
                    Thanks

Sound like overwatering - I have them self seeded in gravel facing south and they romp away even when the temperature is in the thirties.
Last year - all a bit slower this year
I grow them in this pot each year with a bit of fresh compost, maybe a third replaced. The ones at the bottom of the pot are the self seeded ones which have climbed up to join the proper sown ones!
