          Are they being eaten by mice? One year none of mine germinated - cos little blighters were nicking the seeds before they had a chance.

          Now I tend to start them indoors, only putting them in the greenhouse once they're up. ......Either that or I cover the pots with fine wire mesh.

            Mine are growing in the greenhouse. I'd say less than half of them have started to grow.

              Two years ago I planted sweet peas around the garden. Earlier this year I let the seed pods ripen and they self seeded. Now I have a lot of seedlings about 10 to 15 cm high growing all over the place.

                Third batch have just started to poke the heads through the compost.....all is not lost

                  don't forget,if you put the nipped tops into water,most will grow roots to pot up,giving more plants,i was going to start mine off,but changed my mind until a few more weeks have gone,they will catch up,
