I have managed to obtain myself a little bit of home... some protea seeds. problem is I'm not sure what to do with them. It says something about soaking them in the smoke solution which I will do once I know a bit more about them when that is done. I want to get the best results. I have 6 different varieties. So if I have to treat them differently it would help to know that.

    I have
Protea Cynaroides (think this is the king)
    Protea Neriifolia
    Leucospermum Cordifolium
    Leucadendron Album
    Protea Repens
    Protea Compacta

I've succesfully germinated protea seeds for the last 2 years. bit busy to reply in full right now - send me a PM and i'll answer it next week, or tomorrow if i have time.

There's no rush - its not the right time to sow them now, you need to wait until late summer/early autumn.
There's vegetable growing in the family, but I must be adopted
