  • Tall blue flower but what is it?

Can anyone identify the flower shown? We thought Larkspur but our neighbour, from whose garden it escaped, says it's a delphinium. It self seeds very easily and the flowers last some weeks.

The leaves look wrong for a delphinium but everything else looks right. If the bleddy rain stops, I will go and take a picture of mine for comparison.

No, delphinium and larkspur have similar flowers but are different plants. I would say this one is larkspur.

Larkspur is annual I believe, delphinium is definitely perennial. Whatever it is, it's managing to grow sideways!
