Ah good. You're a bit more South of me, so my daff should be another fortnight I reckon. Everything is throwing up leaves and shoots, just about to 'pop'. I'm going to wander up the allotment now just to have a look -

Some daffs not far off round here already and the days are definitely getting longer, if I manage an early finish tonight I may actually be home in the light for the first time this year.

Got a few little 'February Gold' & 'Tete a Tete' daffs out here & others in bud. Great isn't it, makes you want to get outside & get started!

I've got the first of my crocuses out and have seen quite a few daffs. Lots of birds and wildlife around. I've even seen a few bumbleys on the drier days.

My snowdrops have just yesterday started to bloom in the garden, my potted hosta by the back door is just showing it's new shoots, roses putting on fresh growth (well, the greenfly must have been getting hungry ) clematis montana threatening buds, as is the apple tree, and some baby catkins making an appearance on the Killie Willow - not too far away from Spring - but I think I'll wait and see what March does first.

Thank heavens for that Snadger! I thought I was going to be the only one. Just got a snowdrops in flower.

I gotta one Snowdrop, one Narcissus. The Cerinthe is big and fat, about to burst into flower. Not only buds but leaves on the Clematis. New leaf on Water Lily. Harvesting first dandelions (guinea food). Winter Lettuce will be eaten next week I reckon - about 3 leaves on each plant!

No daffs open yet, but we've got literally a few snowdrops and crocus out. I'm pleased about this anyway, because last year (our first Spring in this house) we only had a few daffs in a half acre garden, which was very disappointing - esp. considering the previous people were gardening types. In the autumn I literally planted hundreds of bulbs/corms, so it's nice so see some making an appearance. Hopefully over the next couple of years they'll multiply aswell, as a dozen snowdrops in total is a little pitiful!

Yellow and cream crocuses out, purple ones just starting to show buds. I've got one violet flower, and the daffs are showing buds - snowdrops doing well. Kerria's got a few flowers and lots more buds showing - forsythia's well behind. Camellia's got buds but no sign of colour yet - is this later than usual or am I just impatient? I WANT TO START SOWING STUFF!!!

I saw a illuminous green greenfly yesterday, so looks like the pests are starting early this year too!

Must be illuminous so they can fly at night without headlights!

We saw the first Red Admiral today, feeding on rotten apples; and a great big bee, size of a Zepellin. Purple crocuses (croci?) are all out; still only one Narcissus (come on you guys).
