Is it too late to sow some more sweetpeas, or will I have to resort to buying some?

I read somewhere that said not to soak them, just give them a little 'nick' near the eye with a sharp knife.Originally posted by Jeanied View PostGive them a soak now and sow them this evening. That's what I'm doing today, Fi.

Oooo thanks piskie - off to try that now. I love sweet peas but they deffo don't love me. I've managed to germinate about 10 since January - and of those only 4 have survived past seedling stage...Originally posted by piskieinboots View Posta quick way to kick 'em off is to put them into a plastic money bag with moist compost, pop 'em into your airing cupboard - they'll be sending out their darling little white bits before you've made the toastcome visit a garden

I don't soak or nick and seem to get good germination. Filled 10 root trainers back in Feb and shoved 2 seeds in each. Now have 20 lovely healthy bushy plants which have benefited from a bit of pinching out
If they're as pretty as last year then they'll look lovely with my beans
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
