Can anyone tell me when I need to plant my Gladioli corms? All my books tell me when to dig them up and that they flower for a good season in the summer, but not one says when to plant them!

Never grown them before, but got some reduced price through the local RHS.

I plant mine Jennie from March time at fortnightly intervals until they are all gone, which can be as late as July, to get a succession for cutting.

In my main bed however, they were planted in early April but are then left in the ground and are only dug up every couple of years to thin them out. These thinings are what I plant for succession.

Thanks for that PW - was hoping I wasn't too late. Good idea to stagger the planting, hand't thought of that.
