Jersey Cabbage aka The Walking stick Plant? Would be a small one though!

I'm putting my money on a mallow. I have had mallows pop up with
huge leaves especially if the soil is good. A good nitrogen burst and they
do get big leaves especially at this time of year when its preparing to
over winter. I used to grow a variegated cultivar of mallow and the leaves
were spectacular even if the flowers were rather pathetic mauvey pink offerings!
It looked particularly effective through autumn and winter.

My first.....and present thought was Mallow (Lavatera)

I am pretty sure that this plant is a Lavatera arborea (tree mallow) see pic - the one in the pic is "verigata' which I don't think yours is - yours is the common Tree Mallow (Lavatera arborea )
