    Hi all
    my boss gave me this but e doesnt know what it's called. anyone recognise it?

    Could be Lysimachia (Yellow Loosestrife). A perennial that quickly forms a clump having spread by underground roots.

      Yep it's Lysimachia punctata - quite attactive flowers but it does spread.
      I would keep it in a wilder part of the garden, it will also grow on the edge of a pond

        I have one of these that I got from a school f�te about 4 years ago. It survives getting sopping wet in the winter and very dry in the summer and is in a shady area. I have divided the clump this year and now have it also in the front garden border in a very breezy and sunny spot.
        I never knew what it was called before so thanks for asking the question doc and thanks for the answer rana and Lovage.

          I love it! Good, friendly plant, doesn't mind being cut for big exuberant flower arrangements. If you want to keep it to a single patch just pull up the outside bits each year.
          Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
