I have 2 flowers so far- a really pretty orange (thought they were going to be something else but ho hum)

How much stem do I pick? Never grown them before so never picked them

Jackie, it's lovely that you give the first to your sister

October sowing now up to 6 feet and climbing fast, lots of flowers - very scented, a small bunch in a vase has even made the lounge smell nice!

Must sort out somewhere to plant mine out today. Lost loads when my seed tray shelving collapsed but still have some Spencer mixed to get in. Hmm, where can they go?.........

Oh! Good idea! At the moment, I am using a square burgundy coloured shot glass for my white Chelsea sweetpeas. I say sweetpeas, but I've only had two so far.

Update: I attach a photo. The last of the first two white ones is fading because it ran out of water. The other two I picked a few minutes ago. One's light pink and the other seems to be white with ice purple and green around the edges. I bought ten plants called Chelsea sweet peas back in March, I think. They were mixed, so every new flower is a surprise.

The multicoloured one smells divine! It alone scented the whole garden.

Still waiting on my own sown.
