Planted out sweet peas on a new arch I bought and constructed.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Sowed tagetes:- Alumia, Bolero and Queen Sophia; Zinnia Lilliput.

They're all old seeds, so it's pot luck.
Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

Sunflowers, sunburst, little leo, valentine, harlequin and Mrs Mars.
Cosmos, psyche white, rubenza, bipinnatus xanthe, vega mix and gazebo mix.
Zinnia, Mrs Wilmot, purple prince, elegans candy, elegans sunshine and double mix.

The zinnia and cosmos are really, really old opened seed packs so I'm not expecting them to germiniate, and when they don't I can throw the packs away with a clear conscious.
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
Always aim for the best result possible not the best possible result

If it's any consolation, the zinnia that I've now got sprouting are Lidl's finest 2019, best before 2020. Looks like 80% germination, now I've worked out what I was doing wrong

Oh you're joking! I sowed them really thickly, this could get messy!

20-25°C, surface sown with a sprinkle of vermiculite and a dark cover. Is what worked for me.

Finally got borage and phacelia in this week, both direct sown. Also a second batch of calendula as the first lot got a bit leggy on the windowsill.

I mixed all my old open flower seed packets up with some compost and have scattered them willy nilly in a couple of seed trays and over an empty bit of flowerbed. If anything germinates it will be a nice surprise. If not hey ho
