This year I grew some different varieties but they don't have much smell, I like to smell them in the house when picked.
I'm thinking about which to go with for next year.
I always grow some Old fashioned Mixed. the flowers are smaller than the more highly bred peas, but the wonderful scent makes up for that. A bunch scents the whole room.
For a pretty one, Sir Jimmy Shand is also strongly scented.
I wonder how the scent started?….I picked some perennial sweet peas yesterday…they look fantastic.
All one colour, yes, and no scent at all…but with a few straggly scented ones added to the vase, they don’t half brighten up the room both visually and with perfume.
