  • Ladybird poppy dying

Aaaaand yet another brand new plant that was flowering away in June crosses the threshold of my garden and drops its flowers withing a month and is now looking dead. The label states flowering time May to Nov so this shouldn't be.

I suspect that label is fibbing, Marb. When you look online, the flowering dates given are June to August. And I suspect it has just died a natural death, seeing as it's an annual. Has it produced any seed you could save to sow your own next year?

I would also say that it’s come to the end of its natural life. Let the seedheads dry then sow again in the Autumn.

They do that. Either let the heads do their thing or collect when dry and put into a paper bag to collect the seeds and re sow next year.

Thanks folks. It seems I was mislead by the label. I'll save the seed and sow again.
