These were sent to me from T&M as bare root saplings. They were leafless when they arrived in March. They should have been Hazel but clearly aren't.
The only thing that they slightly resemble on the T&M website bare root hedging section is golden privet, but that is evergreen. However, on closer reading, it does say that in severe cold they can drop their leaves. I guess it could be that but they are golden not variegated and the leaves look a different shape to me.
Google lens is rubbish and says its Lonicera, which it isn't.
Does anyone have any ideas as to these mystery shrubs ID?
