  • Bedding Plants

Looking for tips on where to buy bedding plants. I usually buy from the supermarket which has been successful in the past but this year they are all awful.
Also is it too late to buy begonias? TIA.

Jay, I buy bedding plants from Lidl or Aldi.
Bought some last week from both stores.
No, it's not too late for begonias.

Dont know if you have a Lidl or Aldi storenear you.
Sorry I cant be more helpful.

Thanks bramble. We have a Lidl near us but they really only had geraniums which looked as though they were on their last legs. We got amazing begonias in Asda last year but so far they’ve not had any in so thought I’d missed them. Even their plants looked bedraggled. I never understand why supermarkets let this happen, they must lose a lot of money.

Facebook marketplace often has plants for sale and crocus.co.uk currently has 50% off bedding.

There was a whole stall full of well watered plants at Worksop market today.

                Thanks guys!

My mum in law called to say that B&M had just got fresh begonias in so I’ve taken the chance, £3.50 for 20 decent plants. Never bought plants from them before so we will see how it goes!

Markets are something you don’t see much here, love having a wander through them when we are in England.
