  • Salvia cuttings

I successfully took a couple of cuttings last year from my salvia amistad. They are pretty small - just about 5cm and have them in the greenhouse in small individual pots. They nearly died when there was a bad frost a month or two ago but have recovered. I know these salvias are a bit tender so was wondering when I could plant them out in the garden. They are going into a fairly sheltered front garden with full sun.

I would make sure there is enough root system. Could you pot on and harden off outside first?

Yes could harden off. There was certainly a decent bit of root when I took them out the initial pots.
