  • Spring bulbs

I have lots of pots with bulbs coming up that I pulled out of display pots last year. Is it ok to plant them back into display pots now? I have daffodils, crocus, grape hyacinth and tulips. I particularly wonder about the tulips as often they don’t flower in subsequent years.

You might be a bit late for some of them, are they showing signs of growth?

My gardening club has a spring flower show, and one of the members does a workshop for us about bringing on our bulbs (a retired tutor at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh). He says he will take bulbs from one pot to another if he thinks it will make a better display. I've not been brave enough myself!

I think you'd need to do it before they put much height on though, so now would probably work.
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.
