  • Chrysanthemum cutting query

My ancient "Flower Expert" says to take cuttings from base and not side shoots.
Some of my overwintered plants look manky with no basal shoots but some side ones.
What are chances of side shoots being ok please?

I took one that was growing near the top a couple of weeks ago. Pulled it off, put it in compost, covered with plastic bag and it has rooted now.

Not the best cutting but should be OK. Not quite got the hang of photos yet.

Thanks Riga. That looks good to me.
Will give it a whirl but will open up compost with some coarse sand.
Not tried loading photos yet. Always was a pain!
Site seems to be a mite on slow side, at my age have difficulties remembering why I signed in!!!
