Hi LL Just for reference - next year if you grow sweet peas if there are particularly nice coloured and/or scented flowers, tie a bit of coloured wool around the flower stem and let them go to seed, that way you'll only save your best ones as they self pollinate before the flower opens.Originally posted by Little Lottie View PostThanks Kentvegplot,
I tend to pull anything up that is not a bulb but in doing so end up pulling plants that I shouldn't - one year I will get it right!

Yeah. You need to learn which are annual (one year only) and which are perennial (long-lasting).Originally posted by Little Lottie View PostI tend to pull anything up that is not a bulb but in doing so end up pulling plants that I shouldn't - one year I will get it right!
Then there are the biennials to worry about ....

Two Sheds - thats the problem and why I keep getting confused over this plant lark. I have some seeds flower seeds that say that they need sowing now and will flower in the 2nd year - but where do you keep them for all that time?
Also what is a seed bed????
Obviously it is a bed for seeds but i can't see the difference in keeping them in the greenhouse until big enough to plant out.
