  • Planting out seedlings

I've been growing cosmos, marigolds, dahlias, asters (chinese and duchesse) and rudbeckia from seed. They are all doing well and I was just wondering if it would be safe to plant them out yet? I know I need to harden them off a little first though.

By the time you have hardened them off Duggie it will be aboutthe third week in May so they should be fine.

Harden them off yes, but the Cosmos and marigolds are tough cookies anyway, and will take a bit of late frost if it happens.

If they're hardened off Duggie, they should be fine. If you're not a gambling man plant half and save half.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will harden off half the cosmos and marigolds and plant next week, then harden off the rest for planting out at the end of May.
