French Marigolds - yay!

We always companion plant our greenhouse and other veggies like beans, with French marigolds, but we nearly didn't have any this year. The seeds we had didn't germinate, they must have been too old.

So a big thank you to Michael for sharing some of his favourite marigold seeds with me.

They're just germinating now, here they are:

Michael says 'Yay!' None of ours are up yet - think I'd better set him on planting a few more!

Thing I like about them is the red stem. They self seed like mad in the greenhouse (along with tomatoes and various weeds) but I know which they are by the red stem and leave them be.
