Help required for hopeless would-be gardener!
I bought a gorgeous Tiger Lily a few weeks ago and it flowered into luvverly yellow blooms, which sadly did not last long. The flowers have all gone now and the stem has withered away to a woody stick. Is this normal or has it croaked it? Are you meant to re-plant the bulb and will it miraculously grow again? It's about 4 foot high at present.
Many thanks in advance to people wiser than me (not hard to find!)

the boyfriend grows lots of lilies and he just leaves them in the ground, when the stem has completely died back he cuts it off at near ground level and then next year they come back.
