  • Outdoor summer jasmine covered in flower buds, at this time of year?

I have a jasmine plant that lives outside, its been there for about 10 years and never flowered until last summer with just a handful of flowers.
I went outside to have a tidy up and found it was covered in hundreds of buds! at this time of year outside?
I know its been mild, but wow.

I managed to break a few parts covered in buds by mistake, I plunged them into water and took them indoors. I wonder if the buds will fully bloom outdoors as its getting colder this week? What about the saved stems that I have in water, can I take cutting at this time of year? I guess I will find out In the next couple of weeks or days

I have a potted summer jasmine on my patio which has been covered in tiny flower buds since January. The buds are still tiny, though, and growing very slowly, so I doubt it will actually flower until at least April, probably May.

      I'll check mine later.
Years ago I bought a houseplant jasmine that outgrew itself so I bunged it in the ground. It went wild! I cut off the straggly bits and grew more. Think I stuck the cuttings in a pot of compost. It must have been easy as I have several Jasmine dotted round the garden now!

My jasmine started off as an indoor,to patio to ground plant. Interesting to see when the buds will flower. You might have some buds on too VC. Im going to shove some in compost too

No- flower buds and not many leaves on mine.
They're looking a bit tangled and weatherbeaten (like me)
          I'm sure they'll bounce back.

I'm happy to say that I'm easily recognisable as someone who is a gardener, I have the the same weather beaten look
