That's an interesting site but only if you have a meadow to plant up. 100g of Agrimony seeds is the stuff of nightmares after my previous experience with the plant.Originally posted by Jolo View PostI'm trying to introduce more native wild plants into my garden. I am going to give Agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum) a go along with Devil's-bit (Succisa pratensis). I think both are easy to grow and interesting so I will add them to some areas of my garden that are a bit bear.
The Devil's bit looks nice though!

The flower seed list for this year is:- Borrage Blue
- Centranthus red valerian
- California poppy/ bread seed poppy
- Dianthus sugar baby and rainbow
- Foxglove, foxy mixed
- Geranium hardy, Orchid blue
- hyssop
- Nasturtium alaska and Jewel of India
- Nigella, white and blue Mrs Jekyll
- Rudbekia
- Sunflower from dwarf to as tall as I can grow them!
- Sweetpeas
- Tagetes
- Verbena
- Sweet Alyssum, 'Carpet of Snow'
- Queen Anne's Lace, 'Green Mist'
- Cornflower, True Wild Form
- Cosmos sulphureus, 'Bright Lights'

- Penstemon barbatus, ''Twizzle Purple'
- Zinnia elegans, 'Envy' and purple prince
- Chamomile, 'Bodegold'
- Marigold, Pot Calendula officinalis
- Phacelia tanacetifolia
I will probably not get round to sowing all of them, and some I will have problems with.
I could probably add a load of herbs here as well as the insects love the mint later in the summer...
My aim is to encourage more beneficial insects in the garden to help with pollination and to eat the pesky insects. Also more companion planting and to make everything look prettier.
Apparently Zinnia is a good companion plant for dill, courgettes, chard, beans and Florence fennel. As I am planning on growing all of these I hope I can manage to get 1/2 a dozen to plant out

Didn't think I'd manage 20 but just checking my seed box and might manage it. Will list later. Have no experience of growing flowers apart from sweet peas that I tried last year so expecting it'll be a big hit and miss but will see. Planted some in prop the other day and some in gh yesterday. The rest are going on out straight onto the pretty empty border at the back or front garden.

My 2020 grow list
When I started to write the list of what Im growing this year I thought is never make it to 20😂😂 Im extending my cut flower patch at my allotment this year. Nearly all germinated so far except the sunflowers and coreopsis as theyve only just gone in. The phlox and Erigeron only one germinated one of each, Im losing hope of more but one is better than none, phlox was old seed anyway but Im a little disappointed as they were really good lasted late into the season. Flowered all summer. Erigeron one is enough as it will self seed hopefully.
Antirrhynum (Rocket mix)
Dahlia (20 different tubers)
Allysum
Lobelia
Petunia
Scabious (Tall double mixed)
Cosmos.(Daydream,Gazebo red and Purity)
Ammi majus
Ammi visnaga
Daucus carota (purple kisses mixed)
Tithonia
China asters
Calendula
Zinnia
Gypsophilia elegans
Nicotiana x hybrid (whisper mixed)
Sunflower (vanilla ice)
Emilia Javanica (Irish poet)
Lupin (dwarf)
Moluccella laevis (Bells of Ireland)
Cornflowers
Tagetes tenuifolia (lemon gem)
Phlox (lavender beauty)
Cerinthe major
Erigeron
Coreopsis (Early sunrise)
Sweet pea

Proof
I often browse this site but dont post . Ive just added my list and look forward to sharing photos with you all when the time comes.Originally posted by veggiechicken View PostNG, the real challenge is that we need proof - like photos of each flower, so you'd better get sowing.
