    Nope!!
They're all from the same plant, some pods have split, some haven't. The seeds are the dark blobs at the bottom.

      Are they beech nuts?

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I think they might be camellia pods.

I grew one from a seed once, but it was never happy, my soil is alkaline clay. It gave up the ghost before it ever flowered.

The seeds are from this camellia which reaches to the roof - photo taken 15th January though it had been flowering since December. It already has this year's buds.

Thanks, but no thanks. It would never make it to adulthood, let alone grow into the magnificent specimen in your picture. That is one glorious camellia!

                        A sad sequel!

                        Characters:-
                        Neighbour and his mate
                        Friend
                        Parcel delivery man
                        Builders (2)

                        Props :-
Blocked Guttering, cast iron downpipe, rusted bracket all hidden from view by roof height camellias.
                        Bowsaw and loppers
                        Ladders and builder sized drill.
                        Money.

                        Final scene:-
Clean and reattached guttering and down pipe.
                        Two camellias about 6' high
Huge pile of leaves, branches and doomed flower buds.
                        More seed pods!

You'll have to write your own story - its too sad for me.

Sounds like a horror film. But they will recover given time.

Sad, sad, sad. I wonder how long they'll take to flower again, spring 2021?

Reminds me of a beautiful fuchsia I had in my last garden, in full flower. Stuck out over the wall about 18 inches, no more I promise. Someone complained to the Council, got a letter telling me to cut it back. With a sorry heart I took the secateurs and chopped all the flowers off. Next door neighbour coming past "what are you doing! It's lovely!" Agreed that it was causing no obstruction to the pavement, if it had been I'd not have let it grow out at all. Still, the pavement was neat and tidy afterwards, if that's your priority....

Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.

I think there may be a couple of buds left on one bush, though what colour it will be, I know not!
It was bought as a double petalled pink camellia but, over the years, half of the bush produced white flowers, the other half pink. I've no idea why but I've always had a weakness for BOGOF.
The other bush was earlier, usually flowering in December, with single petalled pink flowers.
It will be interesting to see what happens next!
