  • Planting out lupins / pulmonaria

    Good evening,

I got some free minarette lupins (plug plants) with an order for some pulmonaria. The website says to plant out on arrival - I just wanted to check that it's ok to do so as it's due to get pretty cold over the next fortnight or so. Will they be ok?

Actually, same question for the pulmonaria. They're all in the greenhouse at the moment.

    Ta very much,

Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

They'll be fine to go out now - just to be ultra-cautious you may want to put them out in the day and back in at night for a few days, just so they don't get a big temperature shock. Watch out for slugs on the lupins.
