    There are loads of threads on here that recommend coops and runs. Homemade usually lasts, or even a cheap shed works. To be honest the less fancy is the way to go. Fancy coops look good but they usually aren't practical.
    Red mite hide in the cracks and joins of the wood. A simple wooden box with a door and an easy way to get in to clean is the way to go. Chris had some great photos of his coop up, im sure there are plans on here somewhere.
    Also creosote everything before you get them. Once a year in spring works for me.
