Used to be known by its full name - Central Wool Growers, but now I think most refer to it as CWG.

hyperdrug online sells benzyl benzoate. its painted on gloopily and is incredible! I gave up on surgical spirit after a cockerel kicked and flicked some in my eye.

Petal with the BB, is it a one off application? Just looking at Hyperdrug after reading your post - 1L for �14.99, is that the stuff you use? I know what you mean about the SS getting in your eyes, I haven't had that problem yet but as I find increasingly I am doing chooks on my own I am in need of something that doesn't require an assistant to hold the jar, "kick back" being the downside.

Rh- we used the BB weekly for a month. of course it takes a full moult until the legs are in show condition. it lasted a long time and was used on nearly 50 birds regularly. I have 2 kids helping so it makes life easier and they seem to enjoy brushing ointments on chickens. Wierdos.

goodness Snadger- thanks for that- will always get kids to wear masks in future when they apply the stuff- I was very interested to hear its a snail/slug deterrant too.......
