  • Brown spangled leghorns

    I may be getting some brown spangled leghorns can anyone find a link on the internet as I cannot find any pictures.

      I don't know, the bird are brown with some different bits in them, slightly bigger than white leghorns and good egg layers.

        i dont know enough about chickens to recognise them from the description but i have found some chickens seems to have about 3-4 different names!

          According to FeatherSite, leghorns can be "White, Buff, Silver, Red, Cuckoo, Mottled and Brown" - could your 'spangled' be the Mottled variety?

              I've only got Exchequers (and one odd bod that I think is an Exchequer x some other colour). My guess is Spangled is the same as Mottled, in the US Spangled is a popular term.
