I can't quite see- but it looks like they may be tethered to their shelters? Looks like they're bred for fighting - poor things.

Yes, bred for fighting. I couldn't see any tethers - I was wondering why they were all staying in their own little space. It's made me feel quite disturbed watching that.

I've just reported that youtube video and several others for animal abuse, so sad that some countries still allow cockeral fights

Darn! I've just tried it but I need a you tube account. One of those videos have had over 40,000 views!

Maybe tethered to stop them fighting but even so, I like to see them able to range about freely

I think they must be intended for fighting, not nice! It's not even as if they let them fight the way Nature intended. I believe they attach sharp baldes to the spurs, and I KNOW the fight has to be to the death. A natural fight (like you get if they meet by mischance, I had a few when I was keeping chooks) looks pretty bloody, but the actual damage is usually slight, not least because the one which is getting the worst of it runs away!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

This is horrible - all cock fighting should be banned - it's too barbaric

Agree with you there LL...what I find really strange is that you'd have thought that a 'good fighter' would strain at his tether to get at his neighbour- thereby injuring his tethered leg. And so- he couldn't fight as well as he could.
Just goes to show that it's just about entertainment and not value of cockerel. The lowest of the low in my eyes.
