sorry for the lack of activity here, we had a telephone line and pole snap and short out across a 33,000 volt mains cable three weeks ago. Only just got the phone and net back on again after BT had to rebuild the exchange as strangley enough, a system designed to run on 50v DC doesnt appreciate 33,000 hitting it!
So, did i miss much?

Sounds like an epic fail, I'm guessing the exchange was fried! They must have been working their socks off to get it back on. Have they resited the pole?!
