Orchard Poultry about an hour away in Shropshire although I did find somewhere near Derby (will see if I can find it again) but they don't have Marans.

You will turn actual cartwheels when you get your girls!! Even now, my chooks still affect me like that. I love going outside to see them, and they come running to see me bokking gently. Forget chicken broth for the soul....you just need the chickens!

Funny story is that last weekend both daughter and I felt sick at eating a chicken dinner! We are getting emotionally attached before we have them. My OH has told practically everyone on our allotment that we are getting chickens and guess what they want to trade eggs and manure - ME FIRST PEOPLE!
