Broody hen sitting on 4 duck eggs

    A neighbour of mine used to keep assorted ducks, she called the dark ones with a white bib penguins. Not a breed name, just her term for them. Hers with that colouring were Aylesbury cross Khaki Campbell.
    Cayugas are all black, no white bits...
    The lighter colour one looks like it has a pink beak? That might be a Muscovy (or a Muscovy-mule). Not certain there, but the patterns would suit as well.
    Where is Corax when we need her????
    Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

      Whoops didn't see the white bib!

      Did you rest your eggs before you popped them under your broody?

        thanks for all yr info. i have taken notes of the ones you think they may be and will check them out.
        re: resting eggs no i got mine form a local farm and he just told me to wash the eggs under warm water for a few minutes then put them under the hen and she was fine.She is a good mum.
