Well, after the unsuccessful auction visit, I have now managed to get some small additions to my flock!

I've got 3 new Khaki Campbells, vent-sexed female and 4 Welsummers, not idea what sex and currently not bothered!
All babies are a week old

Beautiful babies-dead jealous about the welsumers, I love them.

That brings back memories I love Khaki's though had to concede I don't have room for ducks so only had mine a year.
But the Wellies look like the girls I had as chicks but that is no guarantee. Noit sure if Maureen might have a clue, I am sure she was good at spotting the boys and girls.
Beautiful anyway, thanks for sharing the pics

Lovely OWG. Sexing Welsummers can be tricky but the females have a more defined eye stripe. Can't tell completely from the pics but you've definitely got some girls in there. You will know for sure once they start to feather up - the girls feather up brown on the breast and the males black. You should start to see this at about 4 weeks.

Thanks - will check eye stripes tonight and watch out for 'big bird' feathers in a few weeks!

Oh I just LOVE those Wellies Sexing is usually quite easy (especially if you've got both sexes ) Girls have a well defined triangle of dark on their heads whereas with the boys the edges are a bit more "fuzzy". Girls have Cleopatra eye liner too
My girls found their way into my heart and now they nest there
