Update......alive and lively!

problem- definitely got spraddle legs

good news- I have bandaids in my first aid box ( for sensitive skin)
...will splint when I get back this afternoon and can keep an eye on things.

All the info I have found applies to chicks no with their moms. I really don't want to separate it ( yet) if I can help it.

I'm going to start a new thread- so we can keep all info together on spraddle leg. Will take piccies as I go along!
Any input would be fantastic please folks- we can all learn together !


Other bit of good news is that the othe r egg has a tiny hole in it - and a cheeping chick inside!!!!

Looks like the 2nd one may have probs with it's legs!
It's only 14 hrs old so I'll give it till tomorrow- it's certainly no where near as bad as the other one though!

Went to check on them both- and the strapping had come off one leg. So have removed it completely.

Guess what???


IT WORKED!!!!!!


urmm..so is that it now then???..crisis over???

( I'm leaving the others legs alone- they seem to be improving- and it's got enough with it's hernia to cope with.)
