Nope - I wouldn't worry, cheeping is not a constant thing and they can cheep if they are grinding away at the shell - like blokes they can't multitask!!

Next stage is pipping - day 21, then still don;t worry actual hatch can be up to 24 hours later

Hmm ok, Assuming your humidity and temperature are ok they should have at least pipped by now. However if the temp has been running a little low they can be up to 2 days after, but never more in my experience.

Do you have a method of candleing them, you can see the chicks moving around inside the eggs and you will know that they are alive. If you have no method of candleing them then lift them gently and hold them to your ear you may hear faint grinding, but this is not really a reliable method as you may catch teh chick at rest and is not a method I overly recommend due to it affecting the temp and humidity in the incubator.

If they have died at this stage it is almost certainly due to a problem with temp and/or humidity, this usually occurs if either the incubator is set up wrong or the lid is removed too often - ideally the lid should not be removed at all wne turning stops, if it is then 1 max 2 times a day for just a few seconds to check the temp and humidity readings if like me you use an internal sensor. another cause can be weak chicks but it is unusual to get an entire batch of weak chicks you usually get just 1 or 2.

Sorry to be the nasty witch who brings bad news!

just leave them a few more days - and see where you go, just chack your temp and humidity are fine and try to leave them alone (says she - miss are they hatched yet?) we are all as bad even those of us that hatch in the 100's

I have had some hatch nearly a week later than the others put in at the same time because it was the first time I used a still air and the temperature at the eggs was 5degrees lower than I beleived!! - transfered to my freindly idiot proof incubator and these other two hatched....... several days late! And hardly ever hear peeping until pipping, but maybe I'm just deaf of listening wrong?

Hmmm...I'd have thought if they were already cheeping then those may well be dead.
Not sure how long they can last without air and a used up yolk sac.

I've no idea what to suggest...maybe candle them again- did you mark the ones you knew were viable??
I think I'd be tempted to gently open the ones you think aren't viable..and see what's going on.

Sorry, but I think they will be dead. If they were cheeping several days ago and didn't hatch they probably died attempting to. Maybe the humidity was wrong and they couldn't break through the shell. I would chuck them and concentrate on the other 12. I presume these other 12 are in a separate machine/under a hen?
