If your life style allows, and most will, get a moggie - we had rats about 2 years ago- we counted about 8, feeding during the day on the chicken food we put down. We got a cat from the cat protection league as I objected to poisons being put down. The rats disappeared and we have had non since and we don't get as many mice in the house come harvest time either!

I think sometimes its a bad luck thing.
I have a house of students next to me and they leave bin backs and rubbish piled up for ages. I must admit i leave my food down for the chucks and ducks at all times and have no rat problems.
But we do have a the ginger ninja cat policing the garden!
Have you seen the rat in your garden? If not and its coming across your neighbours its possible its returning to home from feeding in another garden?Comment
