Ah.......the kids must've been overjoyed! You will feel so proud when they start laying! As I said, we were fortunate enough to get our first egg after 3hrs! I think the girls were around 18-20wks he said.

Are your girls tame? Do they like being picked up?

one of them (the boss) is fine with being picked up and petted, the other 3 are a bit more shy/nervous, fine with me standing next to them but get a bit flustered if a hand goes in their direction

yeah...our two as well! They come to you for treats and stuff, but bend down and stretch out your hand & they waddle away! Korma is a little better - she kinda hunches wings and squats down, you can get in a stroke or two before she scuttles away. You can even pick her up and we had a good chat and cuddle on Sunday! (Mainly me telling her to start laying again!)

They are lovely things! Don't pay much attention with them during week (work f/t and don't get in til 6:30 with dinner to tend to), but realise how soppy I am if anything happens to them - like a cat terrorising them! Had a week of strange dreams where I kept dreaming that a cat was attacking them!?!?!?

As soon as the gate opens to the lawn where they are, they all huddle to the door and peck at it hoping that I have come to let them out onto the grass.
They get the right hump when I don't and start pacing the run up and down to make me feel guilty. And it works, let them out 3 times today in total.
Even managing to get a cuddle off them now, although they still protest.

OH is gonna kill me soon, cos they keep trying to eat he's gooseberry bush.
