    The minute they are laid! I wait outside the coop with the water boiling in the kitchen hoping they will get on with the laying so I can have my egg!

        And it's official! They are good for you and have a negligible effect on you cholesterol!

          Apparently (or so I read somewhere) that your own (well, from your own chooks that is) or free-range eggs have only half the amount of cholesterol and three times the amount of Omega 3 compared with "standard" eggs

              I always keep a few of the really fresh eggs for my brekkie! Hard boiled then plonked in my double eggcup.........eaten with a spoon with a dollop of butter in the middle...........aaaaah ....heaven!

                  Had a boiled eggie for my breakfast this morning. Must admit Snadger, that the trick with the spoonful of butter sounds wicked! However, as I'm supposed to be losing the Christmas pounds (which love me so much they don't want to part company!) I'd better not!

                                Blimey - how many chooks have you got? (yes I know I can look on the thread but I am at 'work' and supposed to be filing stuff for my dad. I thought I was doing well as we have sold 5 boxes
