    Just saw my bossy bantam Fly next door! I guess it s time to cut the flight feathers back again.She eventually flew onto the workshop roof and jumped back into the garden.Dont risk loosing your birds,check the feathers!

        The whole event was very funny i must say,until i thought of something tearing her apart.Shes fine though,enjoying the sun thank goodness.Yep a worry just like my kids!

          You just reminded me to clip Budgie's wings again ... he's learned to wriggle out of the cage.

              I think banties tend to be more flighty than the heavier breeds which struggle a bit to get airborne.
              My chooks (not banties) are in a 6 foot high run and the only time I have seen them fly near to the top was when I tried to introduce them to my German Shepherd (hence the 'It's the wolf' thread!)

                How do you clip their wings , i was shown once but have a useless short term memory .
                I remember something about three feathers?
